The Team

LM Studio is founded in 2017, by Leonard Mak. 

We are a team of architecture and interior designers, who aim to explore radical design approaches in Malaysia, pushing industry boundaries. We provide spatial propositions, space realizations, design and build services. Our projects range from private dwellings to commercial settings, constantly exploring the limits of each typology. With a team of culture and passion driven designers, we focus on guiding our clients to experiencing the entirety of the design process.

Brand identity and the story behind every user shapes the narration of our design. We seek to apply our design notion to all scales of product – from commercial, residential projects, to industrial product design.

We have an 8-person design team; 6-person project management and 7 in carpentry.

The Founder

Leonard was trained in Germany under the influence of Bauhaus, Dessau. Designed and project managed a 450mil mixed development for Mitraland in Kota Damansara under RSP Architects. He completed the CCC (Certificate of Compliance and Completion) process and handover of the project. He focuses on design practicality. If a space is well designed, users will perform better.
